du Mossad ; Tova Ronel et Carmit Gatmon, veuves de deux chefs d'antenne du Mossad, respectivement à Paris et à Casablanca ; et Yamin Ka'anan, enfant sauvé par l'Opération Mural devenu
colonel de réserve dans les forces armées israéliennes.
(ENGLISH -) David Littman is a dear
friend and reader of "drzz.info". We thank him for sharing with us the exclusive video of his private ceremony with the President of the State of Israel. Also present at this
commemoration : Littman's daughters and
grandchildren ; his wife Gisele (famous author under the pseudonym Bat Ye'or) ; Shmuel Toledano, former No 2 of Israel's external intelligence services, the Mossad, and
deputy to legendary director Isser Harel ; Gad Shahar and Pinhas Katsir, retired Mossad agents ; Tova Ronel and Carmit Gatmon, widows of Mossad's station chiefs respectively in Paris and
Casablanca ; and Yamin Ka'anan, child saved by Operation Mural and now colonel in the Israeli army reserve.
David Littman is an historian and human rights activist working since 1986 at the United Nations
in Geneva. His wife is a famous expert on rights of minorities in the islamic world. Both are today honored by the New York Public Library which opened a
large section "Bat Ye'or and David Littman Papers". Articles from "drzz.info" have been added to those archives, almost 450 kilos of documents.
In 1961, young David Littman, 27, spent 130 days in Morocco in an undercover operation led by the Jewish Agency and the Mossad. Operation "Mural" (Littman's code name) allowed 530 Jewish
children to immigrate clandestinely to Israel.
